  Yup.  Although I'll quibble with you on one tiny detail.  not 
necessarily a DB25...whatever termination you choose to use.  RS0-232 
can be connected wth DB25, DB9, DB50, DIN6,  a "stereo phone plug," or 
coonductors twisted toigether and covered with masking tape.  Whatevber 
carries the electrical signals into and out of the RS-232 interface 
circuitry.
