For my needs it was useful. It depends on one's background.
I started with mainframes then shifted to PCs and it provided exactly what I needed to
program AVRs in C. Add reading the datasheet for the chip one wants to use and the manual
for the compiler then what is missing?

Can you suggest a better book?
