  I just received an emailing from Ember Corp, one of the major 
corporate forces in Zigbee technology.  The email is intended to 
annoounce and expl;ain thei rnewly forged partnershi with STelectornics, 
but happens to enumerate a list of theirt existing Zigbee development 
partnerts.  Prominent on that list was **ATMEL**.   I just *knew* Atmel 
wouldn't be foolish enough to bypass Zigbee. 

   Now,m we jst have to hope that they have the foresight to bring the 
Zigbee platform into the AVR family range.  If my information is 
correct, they are currently only working with it inthe 8051-derived 
family of processors.

  Perhaps an email writing campaign is in order?  Zigbee is **GREAT** 
stuff, and those of you who haven't looked into it really ought to.
