AVR-Chat

Hi,
I'm  a new programmer to AVR.
I'm facing a problem with WinAvr.

If I include #include <avr/pgmspace> in my code and
try to compile, the studio 4 [using winAVR gcc]
crahses & the application hangs.

My code is targeted towards atMega8535 device.

Can anybody help me in finding the issue here?
