Ooh, boy, does that bring back memories from the early 60's...

I vaguely remember SNOBOL being mention at the UofW during that era, and 
LISP, too.

How about FORTRAN IID (disk drive version in an IBM 1620 with punch card 
input).  Or, later (in my experience, anyway) how about ALGOL?  Now, 
that was a language ahead of it's time, IIRC.

Ah, fond memories.  Thanks for the trip down that lane!
