Since this has been brought up, I'd like to take the
opportunity to thank Mr. VanHorn for "Getting Started"
and making it freely available to the public. When I
was first learning AVR assembly, I found "Getting
Started" absolutely invaluable. Not only did "Getting
Started" aid in learning AVR assembly, but I learned
some cool software tricks and what good internal
documentation really looks like.

I ported the "Getting Started" code to the ATmega8
with little difficulty, and it probably was a good
exercise for me.

I highly recommend "Getting Started" to anyone wanting
to learn AVR assembler and looking for some example
code to aid in the process.

Thanks again, Mr. VanHorn.
