That is to say, how much you want to invest in the solution. I general, a standard servo type application, like this one: http://elm-chan.org/works/smc/report_e.html could have an application-level interface that accepts step and direction signals to create the position profile. Your application would be responsible for generating pulse trains that create an appropriate profile, exactly like a stepper. Does that make any sense? Pete Harrison
