Good point - Most motors we use in robots and whatnot are pretty "poor" motors that don't work all that well at PWM over about 2KHz, so if you keep your PWM at 1KHz or lower then any H-bridge will work out fine for you - I tried 20KHz once on a TI 754410 and literally blew the top off of the chip. <oops> at 2KHz it ran just fine.
