There is a Bascom list on Yahoo

I briefly considered using it a few years ago but found the list, in my opinion, to be dominated by
unpleasant and aggressive people.

It is not a huge amount  of time to gain proficiency in C and I would say that it is well worthwhile
for anyone writing serious applications.
