Have you coded your enum statement with a name label?  Like

enum week { Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri Sat, Sun} days;

Right now, you aren't assigning a tag (the "week") to the enumeration. 
Would explain the problem with the next possible tag being main which would 
be illegal use.
