Most things are one offs or very small quantities. Usually only use maxim for things like rs485 or where I can buy from a third party or distributor like futurlec.com or digikey or maxim actually has parts in stock in the needed quantity http://www.futurlec.com/ICMaxim.shtml Made easier as Australia doesn't have rohs yet so can afford to use/buy stock that everyone else is having to get rid of. Can have hassles trying to get small quantities through the local distributors. I'm still very surprised that we haven't seen a competitor to digikey/mouser based in Hong Kong or Shanghai. Alex
