Are you willing to share your code for the SD card?

Subject: [AVR-Chat] I recently got back into working with SD-Cards . . .

Hi guys, Id like to get back to SD-cards, maybe the boys at Sabre
technology can help ?

I spent most of my Sunday turning my "rough-as" SD card access code
into nice functions and just generally modularizing the code.

I did run into a weird problem tho . . .

I initialize the SD-card with no problems, I then pull the CS line
high, do some other stuff that doesnt interfere in any way with the
SPI or SD card, pull the CS line low, try to write to the card and get
R=0x01 (in idle state)

Same thing happens when I try to read the card.

It reads and writes fine if I do a initialization every time before I
read or write. . .

The datasheet says that I should only have to initialize the card once ?

Has anybody seen this before ? Any ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks in advance
