This register is factory calibrated. From the factory, the
accuracy is according to the value in the specification
sheet.

You only need to do something with it if factory accuracy
is not good enough. However, there is quite a bit of
variation with temperature and power supply voltage. So,
even if you do get it more accurate at room temperature, it
may not help you much at another temperature or a different
supply voltage.

If you need more accuracy for RS232, then use at least an
external ceramic resonator (if that chip works with one).
Otherwise, use a crystal. It is not hard, it does not cost
much, and will make the frequency 0.1% or better over the
full temperature range.
