problem in adc accuracy

Hello Frnds,
I am using stk500 board with avr studio. I have a problem that while i am reading adc data register, i m not getting proper accuracy as i want. my code is ok. now i want to know that if i want lsb 1 bit accuracy, then what i have to do? plz reply me.

You don't say much about how your A/D is configured or how your results
are in error.

I had a problem with ATmega64 where the internal voltage reference was
not 2.56 volts but 2.48 to 2.54.
