The second one was another book, which says that it is free of charge,
but not to be uploaded to any other site, so it's gone too.

Ahsuji: Don't do this again. I understand that your intent was to
help, but posting material here that violates copyrights is NOT ok.

Why only one month? What is it specifically that you want to do with an AVR?
There are lots of application notes at the Atmel website and at AVRFreaks.

If you have some specific thing in mind that you need to learn, you might
get more answers.

I have been working with AVRs for almost 10 years, still have not
"mastered" them. And of course there is almost 30 years of micro
experience altogether...but still have not "mastered" them.

Must admit I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer though.

hi
how u doing?
formerly i used to work with AVRs
but,as far as i found out
and actually in Iran
AVR micricontrollers are not that practically useful
mainly becaus of their poor quality in our country
in the other hand they are so handy in student level projects

also it seems ,basicly u r not studing in a related fild

I deleted those two files because they were posted in violation of copyright.
As a person who one day may be earning a living writing software, you
should be sympathetic to other authors.

Ouch. You've set an aggressive goal.
My first exposure to the AVR was similar, I had a contract to deliver
my first working AVR app in six calendar weeks.
When I started, the chip (8515) wasn't even available yet. All I had
was the simulator.
One thing that worked to my advantage, was having a very clear goal in
mind from the outset.
Another, was having significant experience on other platforms to draw on.

You're welcome to ask any questions, and you'll find this group quite helpful.

I think a lot of us here had other microcontroller experience when we
started with AVR's. I started out many years ago with the Z80, then the
8051, 8085, 6800, then PIC's and finally AVR's. Almost entirely in assembly
language and I actually built the circuits that the microcontrollers went
into. I got used to "bit-banging" pretty fast!

And I still can't say I've mastered AVR's.

Me neither. Some of the timer modes remain unexplored.. I tend not to
just play around, even when I'm playing around.
If I don't have a need, I don't get into things.

At the moment, I have a nice little package built up. A cerebot plus
(mega2560) in an orange pelican 1150 case, with Li-Poly battery and
two LCD displays, with sensor interfaces. This is doing double-duty
for a couple of different sensor platform experiments.

It IS nice having more ram than I can actually use for once.

BTW: did you notice that the new parts have only 16 registers, not 32?
It will be interesting to see how the various compilers deal with these parts.

Interesting. Am I understanding you properly, that the chips
themselves have quality problems?
I'd wonder if maybe they aren't actually from the Atmel factories.
Counterfeits happen.
