Try feeding a 1MHz+ clock into the xtal input, this has dug me out of a hole a couple of times.

Hi Andy,
 
I have feed in a 1.8432MHz Xtal. connecting the Xtal to Xtal1 and Xtal2. But still have the same problem. Still cant revive my "dead" uP.
