AVRfreaks forum hijacked!

AVRfreaks forum hijacked!

2004-12-20 by John Samperi

G'day all

I have been trying all morning to get onto the forum
but it seems that the forum has been hacked into and
any attempts to look at the forum results in a redirection
to www.y4hoo.net. Anyone else experiencing this?

Regards

John Samperi

Have you tried to go to the forums? That's where the

Here's a solution from comp.arch.embedded where this was first mentioned:

"A quick solution until the issue has been fixed, is to disable "meta
refresh" in your browser.
In IE6 it is found here: Tools - Internet Options - Security - Custom
Level - Miscellaneous - Allow META REFRESH. Then disable it.

I'd guess other browsers have a similar setting somewhere."

It worked when I tried it.

John/Dave,

Some people need to get a life, hacking a microcontroller forum? childish.
I've mailed the AVRFreaks webmaster, just in case no-one else has.

still screwed, it doesn't redirect now, but all I get is a black screen with
some icons and little else.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
