Problem Programming a Mega162

2004-02-26 by Ivan Vernot

Hello All,
I am having all sorts of problems programming a mega162 using AVRStudio
4.08 and STK500.
Specifically, repeatedly reading the fuse bits returns different values!!!

I now have an ATMegs162 in limbo as I am no longer certain what their fuse
bits are set to.
Could some kind soul with an unprogrammed ATMega162 reads it DEAFULT use
bits and tell me what they are?
I will the reprogram the fuse bits (even if I need to use parallel program
mode to do it) and the start again...

Also - has anyone ACTUALLY ever programmer a mega162 using the AVRStudio and
STK500.
I am confident of my setup and I use the STK500 with a 501 board to program
a meag128 and debug using JTAGICE

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Ivan Vernot
