stack problem - not looping????

when I plug in the emulator I get some errors when it tries to access the atmega128 error reading memory IO Address:0 Size:64 error reading memory REGISTERS:0 Size:32 error reading memory SRAM:Address:96 Size:160 im not setting the 103 compatibility mode in the programmer fuse do I need to do it in the software also? thanks
