Good luck, I ordered some AVR butteflies from DigiKey back in November and
they still haven't been shipped. There was someone overseas associated
with a MP3 player that offered to sell me one, but I just knew it would be
here before I needed it. Wrong!

Yes, I tried to get a Butterfly through Digikey Canada
and they are indeed backordered. This is why I am
soliciting for a 'used' one...quite often people order this
sort of thing with good intentions but never end up getting
around to playing with it. I also alluded to being open
to working with other manuf's development boards.
Thanks, Hugh.

Ok, thanks... the controller we were trying to replace totally died last
weekend, so I need to do something fast.

Well if you needed some TI 320C50 or Mot 68HC11/16 boards I could probably
help you out! ;-)

Hi Mike.
Thanks for the TI/Mot offer...
I'm pretty fluent in Motorola HC08/11/12, Intel MCS-51 and
derivatives as well as Microchip PIC. I wanted to expand my
experience to include Atmel AVR.
I'm sure something will turn up.

DigiKey had them in stock recently. I'm not parting with mine...

Try using www.findchip.com to search to search for parts. It works very
well for such things although normally chip and part numbers are used
instead of insect names.

DigiKey has 379 of them for $79 each... search for STK500

Futurlec has some inexpensive boards
http://www.futurlec.com/index.shtml although they have no voice phone
number on their website that I could find. I'll email them and ask for
it, just for grins. They are also advertised on the Atmel site, which
means nothing, I'm sure.
