Serial to ethernet Converter

2004-03-10 by Foo Xin Reng

Hi all:

Do anyone of you have any solution for a serial to ethernet converter? I
would prefer a one chip solution with the necessary stack inside but all
suggestions are welcome.

regards

Hi Foo Xin Reng:

            Try these links:

            http://www.prweb.com/releases/2003/8/prweb75863.htm

            http://www.rs485.com/pespsx3.html

            http://www.automationtechies.com/store/pid2133.php

Or when you get tired of those try:

            http://www.google.com/search?as_q=
<http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&num=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=
Google+Search&as_epq=serial+to+ethernet+converter&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_f
t=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=imag
es>
&num=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=serial+to+ethe
rnet+converter&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt
=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images

It's amazing what a little Googling will do.

How about an Xport module: http://www.commanderx.com/productinfo.html

I've not used this product but when I suggested it in response to a
similar question in another group several people jumped all over me
about how poor quality lantronix products had. Based on specs alone,
it looks good. Not sure about the price but recall it being in the
$50 range.
