AVR-Chat

If you run out of flash on a mega8, can you directly replace it with a
mega168?

I've trawled through the Atmel datasheets and it looks pin and software
compatible... Have I missed anything?

I think you'll find 48, 88 and 168 only differ by memory sizes. I haven't 
actually swapped 88 and 168 but did a design for 88 and ended up using 168.

   Close.  Depending on package.  The TQFP32 packaged versions offer two 
additional ADC inputs
over the DIP28 packages.
