It's apparently a script, not a virus. The Linux 64bit OS doesn't have many virii and I am running both a virus scanner and a firewall on that computer. It started sending those 'lovely' e-mails you got as soon as I opened what looked like legitimate e-mail from someone on another List. Please use a little extra caution. Delete any e-mails touting a 'Net Graphics Site', especially if they are about 132KB in length. You might even want to delete any mail from me for a week or so. I'm on a lot of e-mail lists and mostly lurk. Again, I apologize. I take precautions, but this one blind-sided me. Everyone who downloads the e-mail and opens it is going to be sending it out. I'm guessing Stuart will now be sending it out too. Apparently this virus only sends the e-mail to Yahoo groups though. There is some advantage to the dinosaur technology of reading your e-mail with a text-only mail program (PINE) at the ISP, like I do. I never get infected with viruses through e-mail. Zack

Many Yahoo groups disallow attachments, which also happens to prevent this particular "virus" from spreading. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/

Luckily, the default setting for TBird is (in Privacy/General) "Block JavaScript in mail messages". -- Ned Konz ned@bike-nomad.com http://bike-nomad.com

Nope. It just takes a while to delete it since the infinite Re:Re thing takes a bit to parse I guess.
