Thx J. I tried what you described and no luck. Looks like a new floppy drive is in the future. I live near the NYC area. Anyone know of a good supplier for the floppy dive? I actually have a spare S1100 floppy drive floating around here somewhere. Will that work in the S950? Thanks again! --- In Akais900s950@yahoogroups.com, "J Killah" wrote: > > Try to save an half second sample, if the drive can save it the problem is in the media, try a new floppy (buy some) if not the problem is the FDD, maybe disalligned heads or is diyng. > > the let is ok, red for the orignal FDD in both sampler (red 950 / orange 1100) > > --- In Akais900s950@yahoogroups.com, "swede950" wrote: > > > > Hello, first post here. I'm fairly new to the S950. I also have an S1100 that I've had for awhile and am much more comfortable on so I am not completely new to samplers. > > > > So my problem is saving samples to disk. I am able to save a template program with new name, keygroups, etc... but when I try to save samples, I hear the disk drive whirring normally for a few seconds and then "OOPS! Bad data from disk" appears. I was able to save samples in the past until now. I tried saving to both DD and HD disks. I get the same result from both. > > > > Is the drive failing?
