I find that Background tuning can make the A6 sluggish if you have a lot of other modulations going. I think it's just because it is constantly retuning voices?
I also prefer it with it off, I've heard situations where it actually causes tuning problems because of the constant adjustments, but I do not know enough about it to say why, just that when disabled things improve.

It's been awhile but I've seen the red faced Andromeda A6 and was wondering if anyone in the group has one.

I don't know why there wold be keyboard latency, but background tuning doesn't put any drag on the processor. The algorithm is only 4 assembly lines long...
