Alesis Andromeda A6

Hi everyone,  I am new with the A6 and midi in general.  How do I send 
patches to my A6 that I have downloaded?  I am using midi-ox.  Do I need to 
use a sequencer to do this or can I just use midi-ox?  In midi-ox I have an 
output not ready message, what do I need to do to fix this?
