Alesis Andromeda A6

Hi....

....New here, I've just come over from the code404 A6 user group. I'm 
relatively new to the Andromeda i.e. I've owned mine now for about a 
year now and am really beginning to explore its depths. Other synths / 
keyboards and analoguie stuff I own are:

Novation supernova
Roland JP8080
Roland SH101
Roland Fantom
Elka Synthex
Roland TR808
MPC music percussion computer (not the Roland sequencer / sampler)

2 questions, first off does any one know of a resource for downloadable 
patches other than code404 and the Alesis website?

Secondly I'm after an analogue synth capable of "glassy transparent 
sounds", the Andromeda is almost capable of these but  doesn't quite 
pull it off for me, there seems to be a grainy nature to its sound even 
though at times very subtle, any sugestions would be greatly 
appreciated I have to say I'm not a software person though I'm not 
software phobic either I just prefer to play with hardware and enjoy 
collecting.

I have to be honest I tend to be a bit sporadic on forums so please 
don't think I'm being rude if you find i don't respond instantly to any 
replies but I endevour to log on as often as possible.
