Alesis Andromeda A6

Hi!

Are any of you recording the sound from the A6 together with a 
preamp/compressor/limiter like the Dual Vocal Combo from Manley or 
the new TwinQ from Joemeek? 

Would it be a good idea to use a box like one of these to get a 
stronger signal from the A6 before hitting the converters when 
recording digitally?
