Pedal issues

Hi, I've a Andromeda A6 and I am trying to get it to work with an Alesis CF1 Pedal for volume only! I've gone into the settings and set it up but cannot get the pedal to increase or decrease volume at all. It's like the pedal is not even plugged in. This is a brand new pedal and the up/dwn buttons work on it but not the pedal. I spoke with Alesis before I got the pedal recently and their Tech said it should work but wasn't 100%. The Andy works fine with my sustain pedal that came with it But w/the CF1 it does not seem to work. The CF1 was discontinued some years back when Alesis was bought out. I've checked the web for anyone having issues with the CF1 and found none. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
