Can't resist putting a word in. I always get annoyed when I read about one
partner's being jealous of another's creative obsessions. They should be
thrilled for them. I guess it's a matter of wanting their limited free time.

My reaction is always that the other partner should have their own creative
obsession of some sort, that they can pursue in the same place. Example: he
plays with synths, and she writes or paints or sews or programs or whatever.

Eeeee, not such a great idea, that would be destructive. You might try, "This
machine lets me make sounds that say stuff, like the great way you make me
feel"....?

C'mon, you gotta use a little psychology on us wimmin ;-)

"So in other words, 'dear', I make you feel like a horrific
sphincter-loosening electronic shriek of pain that shatters windows, mulches
siding, and peels every apple on the tree? This is what you're telling me?"
