Alesis Andromeda A6

I'm having a problem with my Ion and Cubase where when I try to record
a the current patch loaded the Ion switches to the 000 patch of which
ever bank I'm in. The only way Ive found to get around this is to
punch in while playing, then it records the proper patch. If i just
hit record the patch changes immediately after the pre-count. Anyone
else have this happen? If so, how did you fix it?
