I am very very greatful to the person who had the very good idea to
put the instrument definition file available on this site = it will
save me a lot of time, since I intend to use it with Cakewalk too.
I'm new here, I bought my Andromeda 2 weeks ago ( good piece , uh !,
a bit expensive though ...)
since I'm french, perhaps someone would know where to get a french
user manual? (the file ...)
not that I don't understand english, but perhaps some paragraphs
would be clearer...
another query = I try to use my A6 with a Roland Groove box MC 505,
when I play a mix (on my MC 505 ) to my A6 (in program mode), I hear
on my A6 only the notes played by the groove box on one channel :
but the 7 MIDI channels of my groove box are playing, and I hear
only (for example) channel 7 if I have set the KBD MIDI channel on my
A6 on 7 ...
Up until there, it's logical = my A6 is set up to receive channel 7,
it's normal to hear the notes played on the same channel 7 by my
groove box ; but how the hell do I do to hear ALL the channels played
by my mc 505 on one particular program (always in program mode )

Last = is a memory card really useful ? how much doest it cost ? (in
the USA or elsewhere ...)
Thanks to all and long life to this site!
Gilles

best way should be to assign those tracks in the MC to send in channel 7.
Most groove boxes let you do that. Not sure if the rolands do.

I tried to get some cheapo cards on ebay but they didn't work. She seems to
be picky...the proper cards here cost about 60$ which I think is extremely
exagerated for the technology involved. I'm still living without one.

Gilles

I also have an MC505. You cannot do what you are talking about in your setup. You would have to switch the andromeda to mix mode and set up the different mix channels to react on whatever channel you would like. The 505 cannot output all the channels together on one midi channel. It only sends out on the midi channel associated with that track, and track R (rhythm) on 10.

Gosh!
you're telling me it's not possible ? how come ?
Is it the MC 505 that has a bad MIDI implementation ?
How do you use your A6 with your MC 505 ?
Do I have the same ability to alter the sound in mix mode ?

thanks for the information
I' d like to take advantage of the soundbanks on this site, and at
the same time keep the factory sounds ; I'll see if I can find
something cheap in France
