How many oscillators per voice?

How many oscillators per voice?

2002-01-22 by klagga

The Virus Indigo is said to have 4 oscillators per voice, that is
three main oscillators plus one sub oscillator.

How many oscillators per voice does A6 really have then, all in all?
It says 2 in the manual, but then you have suboscillators for each
voice. Can someone please explain?

Thanks

A6 has 2 main VCOs, and each VCO has a sub-oscillator.
The A6's sub-oscillator can only be one octave below each
of the main VCOs frequency.

So you have VCO1 and its sub-oscillator
and then VCO2 and its own sub-oscillator.

This is how analog works, you can't have a virtual sub-oscillator
by itself like the Virus.
