If you're talking the VF-1 Editor hosted here that I wrote, yes, of course it's possible.
- Make sure you've selected the correct MIDI Out Device and Device ID in the MIDI setup
- Ensure the two checkboxes Auto-Send... and Real-time Edits... are selected
- If you change algorithms, Send the patch, or tweak parameters, you should see the MIDI activity display on the VF-1's LCD flicker. If not, you have a problem with your hardware configuration.
That's really all I can suggest. I'm guessing you have a setup problem...
