Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

i feel i may have a problem with the mic simulator.
the left mic works fine but the right side seems to do nothing,i have 
connected a line 6 pod to the left and right inputs.
does any one use other units with the vf1 and what set ups are you 
using.your views grateful,before i phone roland uk up.
