Get your 5 pin midi cable en connect this to the fc-50's midi Out.

Get the other side of the midi cable and stick it in the vf's midi IN.

Switch the power on and try the fc-50.

It should be working now, if it doesn't go into the VF's menu and look at
the midi channel, normally the vf-1 has channel 1 selected, the fc-50 should
also be sending on the same channel, check this also - and if necessary try
all 16 channels on the VF, keep in mind that channel 1 is default.

There's more to midi then this, check your manual for the vf's global and
utility midi settings, I can't do this for you (my bassplayer has the VF and
the manual and is complaining about sleepless nights)

\ufffdne last thing, it could be that you'll have difficulties selecting certain
patches with the fc-50, look at the vf's midi programmap (or something like
that), buttons global and/or utility I think and look in the manual, you can
reassign 128 patches if I'm correct.

greetings
Sjaak.
