Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

I have a Roland DR-20 (dynamic) mic and was wondering if anyone has 
ever used this mic with the specific DR-20 mic/vocal patch in the 
VF-1. 
And/or what mic(s) are you using or would you recommend (condenser, 
etc.?).
Any and all info regarding this subject would be greatly appreciated.
