Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hi,
I'm still tinkering with my VF-1.  Sjaak, I'm actually using the Hi-Z 
input for directly plugging in my guitar. Do you suggest using the 
other (rear) input for guitar?  I haven't tried that on the VF-1, but 
on my SE-70 that was the ONLY input (the rear one) and it worked fine 
in that unit.
