Dont'know if I can help you, here are my two cents...........(I own a fc
200)
Switching off individual effects in a chain is done by using the 4
assignable controls (at the end af the vf chain).
You can choose your own CC commands but I gues you know that).
You "only" need to know what CC's your footcontroler sends (try and error
method ? Harmony central or the manufacter site).
The CC# 80 is mentioned because the Roland fc-200 has a switch that is more
ore less fixed to send CC# 80 anytime you hit it. (I programmed one
assignable control to CC 80 to switch on the tuner for my guitar..)
--------------------
The following is something from I copied from an old email maybe you don't
need it but its not in the manual:
"The VF banks respond to different CC numbers,
I contacted Roland Benelux and they wrote:
The banks are chosen by CC 00 and a bank select number, the FC- 200 sends
them, but......
The VF -1 reacts to the following midi commands:
CC 00
Program change map 1 00
Progam change map 2 01
Preset A 02
Preset B 03
User A 04
User B 05
Checking these list you'll see the VF-1 needs CC 00 04 and 05 to reach User
A and B,"
