Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hi,

I was having trouble programming my own patches to get
nice sounds because it takes a long time.  I was
interested in the patches that are available in the
group site, such as the patches posted by FRANKENFRED.
 These files are .syx files, so i don't know how to
open them or if i have to connect the vf-1 to my
computer adn if i have to, how to do it.  I would
appreciate it if you help me out.
