Re: [BossVF1] Behaviour of the various input jacks

Hy, if you plug something in the front jack you automatically exclude the other two back panel in, I know that because I use it as a preamp when I don't want to carry the amp and at first I was wanting to use a simple A/B box to chose from VF-1 or preamp, but I discover that to use it as a effect loop I have to unplug the front jack.

See you
Pat

I downloaded the manual. I read the part that says if you plug cables into both the left stereo input and the front panel input, the front panel input takes precedence.

OK fine. The question IO need answered is what happens if you have a signal going to the Right input when you are on guitar multi? Is it ignored?

What I am thinking is to patch a "Y" cord from my guitar to the VF front panel input and also to another preamp, a Rockman. Then I would patch the output of the Rockman to the Right Line in.

What I hope would happen is that I could choose the guitar multi and it would behave as normal. Then, when I selected a patch that used the line inputs, say the stereo keyboard patch, the front panel input would be ignored and the line inputs (with the Rockman in the right line input) would become active (plus fx etc).

That way I could switch the Rockman in and out via patch changes.

I would just have the output mono.

  Is this correct?

  Thanks
