is this normal?

is this normal?

2001-10-05 by erikewi@worldnet.att.net

hiya all,

i've been eyeing the VF-1 for awhile, and i finally got one. boy,
does it sound great! i luv it!

anyway, i'm running the VF-1 through an effects loop. Out of the my
mixer's effects send i plug into the VF-1 left input.

Is it normal for the Left AND the Right LCD meters to register an
input?

I'm assuming that since i'm inputing in mono that only the Left meter
would show input.

Also, the Right meter is showing less input.
To make it even (on the LCD meters) I have to raise the level of the
right input(from the input knobs) a higher level than the left input.

Is this normal?
Should I even bother setting the right input?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

e k jedisax

I seem to remember reading somewhere in the manual (yes it WAS a dull
afternoon) that when you certain patches active (if, for example a
patch with Delay) the two meters change function from showing Left
and Right input level to Input and Output level. This is shown by the
legend at the bottom of the meters changing from L & R to IN & OT.

I've only just got my VF-1 so please forgive me if this is wrong - no
dount someone with more experience can clarify....
