Using the VF-1 with a parallel effect-loop

Hi everybody, I am a bass player, I am going to buy a VF-1 and my intention is to connect it to my preamp through the PARALLEL effect loop, so I can preserve the true, unadulterd sound of my bass and ADD on top of it just the WET SIGNAL. The problem is also that if you connect an effect through a parallel effect-loop with dry and wet signals mixed you will encounter latency problems (will create phase correlations), resulting in a very unpleasant effect. So, in order to do it successfully (and before buying the unit...), I must be sure that it is possible to have at the VF-1 output ONLY THE WET SIGNAL, getting TOTALLY RID of the dry signal. Do you think it is possible? In other words: Does it have, for any preset (or patchÂ…) separate volumes for DRY and WET signals? Or, even better, is it possible to configure the VF-1 to output only WET signal as a "global parameter" (or something like that...). Just think of it as the knob labeled "dry/wet" you can find on units like Lexicon MPX100/200/500 etc... Please note: I don't want to use effects like speaker or amp simulator, just FX! Let me give an example: I set the pitch shifter at +12 (1 octave above the note I play with my bass). What I want to hear out of the VF-1 is ONLY the note 1 octave above and nothing else, because the original note will pass through the preamp and will be mixed with the "processed" note just after the "return" of the preamp. I hope I have been clear although my english is not that good! Many thanks in advance for your kind help. Guido ITALY
