I run both a VF-1 and a SE-70 in my rack for my Chapman Stick....bass side
on the VF-1, melody side on the SE-70, all going thru a Rane SP 13
preamp...I've also got a SansAmp Bass Driver on the bass side before the
VF-1 in the effects chain.
Yep, you sure can.
You save whatever patch to a User area, there's 3 of them, and then change
the parameters for the sound you need.
By saving the various patches to a User area, you can turn the knob, or use
a momentary foot pedal (Boss FS-5U) or MIDI controller, to easily switch to
different patch in that area.
With MIDI, you can go up or down the patches. You'll need 2 FS-5U's and have
one programmed to go up, and the other to go down.

Subject: [BossVF1] Bass sounds
i have never used any effects so far, so before I buy the VF-1, is
there anyone who can tell me if i can easily preprogram a couple of
nice groovy bass sounds and then use them for live performances by
simply turning the button between the songs ?
just for info, we play basic blues tunes, and sometimes go to the
funky or swingy side of it. So i think i would need a fretless
simulator, sometimes, but what else ?
