I was just wondering how many people have racked thier VF1s? I'm aware that there is a kit available but I'd rather try to make something myself, but I can't quite figure out how to attach to the VF1 without drilling holes. Thanks, Steve

I've racked mine, and I've bought the Roland rack shelf unit, and also had it on another shelf that i drilled holes into the shelf, not the VF-1. Both work fine, there is only one hole mounting screw in the bottom of the VF-1 to mount it with, so it can jiggle around a fair bit. I used a really basic rack shelf that had holes in it. I found a screw that fit the hole in the bottom of the VF-1, grabbed a washer and I was all set. --- doctor_speed_2001 <doctor_speed_2001@...> wrote: > I was just wondering how many people have racked > thier VF1s? > > I'm aware that there is a kit available but I'd > rather try to make > something myself, but I can't quite figure out how > to attach to the > VF1 without drilling holes. > > Thanks, > Steve > > __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I have mine in a Raxess shelf. The shelf came with quite a few different holes drilled in it. One of them was placed just right for the VF1.

I use the Roland RAD-50 Rack Mount kit...the other half is occupied by a Roland GI-10. The RAD-50 is kinda flimsy, and expensive for only connecting with 1 screw which has to be constantly retightened. I'd go for a universal shelf. I bought a rack adaptor for $14 at Sam Ash here in Chicago that fit perfectly. No drilling, and much cheaper than the Boss adaptor. Glenn Turner

I made something myself, its a wooden sleeve screwed on the 1.80 high "artificial" home studio ceiling(the vf is almost only for home studio use). The vf rests easy and steady. And its on a convenient user friendly sp\ufffdt...... The used material (wood, few screws and some metal stuff)costs less than two dollar/Euri ,(some idiots in the Netherlands say Euri when they mean euroos) sJAAK
