SysEx command

SysEx command

2001-09-01 by Joris van den Heuvel

Hello.
I got one finally. It really rocks, one of the bass amp models sounds very good and the mod effects like chorus are also very good. But one thing that's really annoying is that the synth effect doesn't track low bass notes (below high D). I could use a -1oct shift and play high up, but this isn't ideal. Maybe this is an issue for the next software upgrade?
Anyway. Without having to order the SysEx manual, I'd like to know the SysEx command to get a patch from the VF-1 through the patch map. I plan to extract the patch names I create for each customized patch and display them on my foot controller. Would someone who owns the SysEx manual be so kind to look up that command for me?
Thanks!
Regards,
Joris.

Hi, folks.
I just uploaded the VF-1 Midi Implementation File to the VF-1 site. It's under the "Flies" directory.

The Midi Implementation came from someone I know at Roland. I sometimes
attend the summer NAMM show at Nashville courtesy of Gallagher Guitars.
While there I always visit the guys at Roland, Line6, etc... to catch up on
what's new. In doing so I have acquired a few contacts that I can call on
when I need info.

Anytime you guys need info from or about Roland let me know and I'll see
what I can do.

Tim,
As a matter of fact, yes. I have a Roland VM-3100, a really awesome digital mixing desk, and as soon as I start recording stuff in my home studio (this winter), I might need SysEx for this. I'm not sure yet, but it could be handy to have the SysEx manual around.
No hurry, no real need, but it would be cool if you could inquire about this with your pal at Roland.
Regards,
Joris.
