Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

could any of the group suggest a editor of some kind to load and 
recieve patches off the vf1.
also does anybody know how to send patches to the files section of 
the group.

I'm using midi-ox (www.midiox.com). Its ok for sending & receiving 
sysex messages but not very good as a librarian. Its also freeware.

To send a patch _to_ vf-1 just select the position that you want to 
send the patch to. Then from midi-ox click View->SysEx. Now load the 
patch that you want to send to vf-1 (click Command Window -> Load 
File..) and then send it by clicking Command Window -> Send SysEx.
You can also load a SysEx file by dragging it to Midi-ox.

To send a patch _from_ Vf-1 in Midi-ox click View->SysEx, and then 
SysEx -> Receive Manual Dump. Now on Vf-1 select the patch that you 
want to send then click Utility -> Midi -> Midi Bulk Dump, and select 
TEMP. Now send it to Midi-ox by pushing Number/Value dial. 
Now you can save it in Midi-ox by clicking on the display window 
(lower window) with the right mouse button and selecting Save As...

Just go to the files section and click Add File... :-)

And remember to send your patches!
