Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hello all!

Just noticed that there was an OS upgrade from version 1.00 to version 
1.12 on the Boss site.  Does anyone know what the differences are 
between the two versions?

I have been happy with my VF-1 for years, I'm not sure if I want to 
mess around with a new OS!

Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks.

Two or 4 extra user/preset patches..
Perhaps a new algorythm..


That's what I remember...
Nothing earth moving - but I could be wrong..
I bought the Vf-1 years ago......

is'nt there an text file included with that upgrade on boss web site that show the version history ? and whats new  ? i belive there was a new cosm model in the upgrade.... bur i could be wrong, good luck.

Perhaps a new algorythm..

That's what I remember...
Nothing earth moving - but I could be wrong..

Thanks for the reply - there is a text file on the roland site, but 
it only describes how to perform the upgrade operation.

I just did the OS updgrade, now I will have to snoop through the 
algorithms and see if any have changed.  If anyone remembers any 
info, I would love to know so I can try out any new "goodies"!

Thanks for the correspondence,I think I am in the same boat - don't know
anything about upgrades - I am very happy with the way it is configured.

I did the OS pgrade, although I cannot see any difference as of yet.  
Perhaps there were some glitches in the original programs?  I guess I 
feel confident doing it, as it is on Roland's official site.  I noticed 
on one message someone was offering a version 1.13(!), but this is not 
on the Roland site.  I decided not to try that one.

Does anyone know where on this group I can download patches or share 
them?  I noticed a message from one member saying they "liked the Uni-
vibe" patch they had downloaded....wow, I would love to find a Uni- 
vibe patch!!

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

There are some patches.
But I ended up making my own on the fly..
I use the VF-1 as a multi fx in my mixer send return.

Btw, I'm runnnig 1.12.

I remember I did at least one update.
I probably skipped 1.13 because I was satisfied or something.

The German Roland site has the v1.13 update on it.
Go here and click on "V" ->

How this differs from 1.12 I'm not certain, although I read somewhere though that it may allow tap tempo with delay lines via an imput switch.
