I was wondering what the wiring and screen resolution was for the FZ/VZ screens and wether they could be replaced by the modern type like is possible on the Kurzweil K2000?

I have a VZ-10M but the screen is half dead, When I bought it, it was fine, although in the space of time between rackmounting it, somehow the LCD had broken and there is a semi-circle of nothing from the bottom and a rainbow. A few years ago it only protruded a little way into the screen, but after 4 years it has now grown to half the screen making it unusable without a good memory for what buttons to press and a software editor. I was hoping to kill 2 birds so to speak and replace with a new LCD module pre-backlit rather than searching around for a 2nd hand screen and then getting a new backlight for it.
Just a quick question, are the modules in the FZ and VZ exactly the same?
Any Ideas?
