the CZ synths are extremely easy to program without any editor.. really! 
once you master the synth you can imagine a sound and it takes you a 
minute to create.
the only thing that might be confusing at first are the envelopes. just 
learn to use those and you be pulling of great sounds in less time it 
takes you to get your editor running... really. i see no need for using 
an editor (exept for storing patches), since it's so simple and 
userfriendly directly from the synth. take your time and learn the 
envelopes (SUS and END fuctions!), and you will be revarded!
